I am an instrument-rated private pilot with just under 400 hours in single-engine piston airplanes and gliders. I fly for fun; my day job is in technology sales in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Having moved around the US a lot, I’ve had the privilege of flying in some pretty diverse conditions; I’ve landed a 1978-model Cessna-152 on the Outer Banks in North Carolina and in the Appalachian Mountains. A few years later I earned an instrument rating in the congested Class-B airspace of the San Francisco Bay Area in a glass-cockpit, Garmin G1000-equipped Cessna-172SP.
I love airplanes and I love aviation. I am always looking for new things to learn and new tips on how to be a better pilot. I’ve learned a lot from other pilots on the web and I’m sure I will continue to do so. Aviators enjoy a very tight-knit and friendly community and I hope with this blog to contribute a little to the folks who have been so helpful to me.
